Good leaders need to be accessible leaders, so the sense is the higher up you are the more accessible you’ll be. Look at the number of prime ministers you can tweet at. Leadership is an evolving thing. Right, leadership in war looks different than leadership in peace, and so leadership in what I call the digital era looks dramatically different than leadership of the 60s or the 70s or even the 80s or the 90s. And so the world that we live in today—your potential employees, your current employees, your colleagues, your audience—they’re online, they’re making their decisions, they’re being influenced daily by things they see, by the things they hear. And the truth is they’re talking about you. The only question is do you want to be part of that conversation?
