One of the hottest apps on the horizon!
Trade shows and conferences are a great way to connect with a number of different people in your industry, while also providing you with the perfect avenue to promote your products and services to future customers. However, while these big conferences and events are supposed to be useful, inspiring and beneficial, they can often leave many exhibitors and attendees feeling flustered and overwhelmed once they finally arrive at the event.
If you have ever attended a conference, as either an attendee or an exhibitor, than you may recognize some of these familiar occurrences―collecting hundreds of business cards that you either end up losing or never look at again, hectically walking across the trade show floor trying to locate a presentation that you don’t want to miss, or simply just fumbling around at the last minute trying to figure out the timeline of events that are happening while you’re there.
Unfortunately, with the number of people attending these shows and the sheer number of talks, presentations and exhibits happening over the course of the event, it can be difficult to feel as though you are not missing out on something while you are at a large trade show. Luckily, there is a new mobile app on the scene that promises to rid you from a great number of these worries―Bloodhound.
Bloodhound is a free mobile app for events that aims to help everyone involved with events, from organizers to presenters to attendees. You can use the app to load up any trade show or conference to view the schedule or floor map, and can even sign in to LinkedIn and Facebook to see who you may know that is also attending the event. Here are just a few more benefits of this helpful app:
Swap Contact Information
Once you have entered in all of your information into the app, you can use it to access and trade information with other exhibitors and attendees leading up to and at the event. Or, essentially, Bloodhound allows you to leave your business cards at home. The app integrates with both LinkedIn and Facebook so that users are able to see all of the different people they know at the event, and so that they can exchange information with new people when they need them.
Attend Relevant Events
Bloodhound is also useful if you are unsure of what speaking engagements or presentations to attend throughout the conference. It keeps track of past events that you have attended, while also pulling in real time recommendations from the event that you are at, in order to recommend certain sessions or presentations that may fit with your interests. It also tracks which exhibitors or sessions are most popular within the app and recommends the hottest exhibits to app users.
Follow Up Easily
One of the most impressive features of Bloodhound is that it allows exhibitors and attendees to connect in a simple, effortless way. For instance, when an attendee wants an exhibitor to contact them, they can simply “Request a Follow-Up.” Bloodhound will then pass the attendee’s contact info along to the exhibitor for better lead generation. New updates to the app also allow exhibitors to scan an attendee’s badge using your mobile device so that you can collect their information for a follow-up at a later time.
