All right, trend number five is: crowdsourcing content. As content becomes more and more important – and we’ve seen that over the last few years – and will continue to be more important, businesses have to start looking at how we can take advantage of crowdsourcing content, getting content from their audiences, from your customers, whether in the form of testimonial, videos, and so forth.

So how do you crowdsource content? Lots of different vehicles, lots of ways. We’ve already seen, for example, companies do YouTube contests to collect customer videos and use that as content. Jimmy Fallon does this really well with his Halloween videos, and so forth. This concept will apply to organizations and really anybody looking to market online. They are going to be looking at, how do we crowdsource content to fulfill all our content needs.
